About Me

I'm a passionate and energetic communications professional dedicated to building up brands and fostering strong community connections. I'm driven by the opportunity to support a brand's growth and make a positive impact locally. Storytelling is at the heart of what I do, and I believe in the power of authentic communication to engage audiences and create lasting relationships.

My journey in communications began with my academic pursuits. I initially started my studies at Drake University before transferring to the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO) at the onset of the pandemic, when Drake's campus shifted to remote learning. While pursuing my degree at UNO, I also worked as a Barista. I not only gained practical skills in time management, resilience, and customer engagement but also developed a love for the world of coffee. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Advertising from UNO (2020-2023).

At Iowa Western Community College (IWCC), I supported marketing initiatives for continuing education programs, which included developing and executing social media and email campaigns, creating marketing materials like brochures and flyers, and crafting website content to drive program enrollment. I also tracked campaign performance to provide data-driven insights. This role was instrumental in honing my skills in content creation, digital marketing, and project coordination.

Building on that experience, I moved into a role at Firstar Fiber, where I took on a broader range of responsibilities as a Marketing & Communications Coordinator. There, I developed and executed internal communication strategies, oversaw events and tours, coordinated with press to secure media placements, and managed all social media and website content. This experience provided me with valuable expertise in brand management, media relations, and internal communications.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I'm a lifelong learner with a love for reading and experimenting in the kitchen. I find joy and inspiration in exploring the outdoors through hiking and kayaking. And, of course, I can't forget Tigger, my feline companion who adds a bit of personality to my life!
